As summer wraps up, let us come present to your community group or organization. The protection of children in our community is the work of everyone. Even if you do not have children, you have neighbors, friends with children, or nieces and nephews. Nearly everyone has a child who is important to them. What can you and the members of your community organization do to protect the children in your community?
The Meadowlark House can provide a variety of presentation options for any group. We can present over a lunch about the work we do in the community and give an overview of services. With the support of funds from the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas, we provide a 90 minute presentation on Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse as well as a Parent/Child safety presentation. If you are a community serving organization, you can be presented with information through Darkness to Light (www.d2l.com) and their 2 hour Steward’s of Children program aimed at the prevention of child abuse.
For more information, stop by our booth at the Community Health Fair sponsored by Victory Electric Cooperative on Saturday, September 29, 2017 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am at the Western State Bank Expo Center in Dodge City. We will be providing information on our work as well as information regarding our training opportunities.
If you would like a presentation, but can’t make the health fair, please call us at 620-789-0396, and we will get you on the calendar.
